1. Job Title: Cloud Solution Architect (Azure, GCP, Hybrid) – Techno-Functional
Job Overview:
Unicorn Lab is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solution Architect with a techno-functional background to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and hybrid cloud environments. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, playing a key role in cloud transformation journeys, modernization projects, and cloud governance across enterprise workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design:
Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures on Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions using best practices in cloud-native design, microservices, containers, and serverless architectures.
Develop solution blueprints, reference architectures, and high-level design documentation.
Techno-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and IT teams to gather requirements and provide cloud-based solutions aligned with functional goals.
Serve as the primary technical advisor during pre-sales, proposals, and project delivery phases.
Lead Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and Cloud Adoption Framework workshops with clients and internal teams.
Cloud Engineering and Implementation:
Oversee end-to-end deployment and migration strategies for workloads from on-premises to cloud or between clouds.
Implement IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions ensuring compliance with cloud security, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and policy enforcement.
Governance & Compliance:
Define and enforce cloud governance frameworks, security policies, and FinOps best practices.
Ensure architectural compliance with enterprise standards and industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Required Technical Skills:
Cloud Platforms:
Microsoft Azure: ARM, Azure AD, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Synapse, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Key Vault.
Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE, IAM, VPC, Dataflow.
Hybrid Cloud: Experience with Azure Arc, Anthos, or other hybrid platforms to manage on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
Infrastructure & DevOps:
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, Pulumi
CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI
Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet
Security & Identity:
Identity and Access Management: Azure AD, GCP IAM
Network security: Firewalls, NSGs, Application Gateways
Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, SASE, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
Data & Integration:
Experience with cloud databases (SQL, NoSQL), data pipelines, ETL tools, and integration services.
Working knowledge of API Management, Event Grid, Pub/Sub, and message queues (Service Bus, Kafka, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical field.
Certifications (any combination): Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF / Zachman Framework (bonus)
7+ years of experience in IT with 4+ years in cloud architecture roles.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong documentation, presentation, and client-facing abilities.
Proven leadership and mentoring skills for technical teams.
Business acumen to align cloud strategies with organizational goals.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with multi-cloud cost management tools (CloudHealth, Spot, FinOps tools).
Understanding of AI/ML services on Azure and GCP for intelligent applications.
