Remote National Consultant – Field Coordination and Qualitative Research Support

UNICEF is seeking a National Consultant to provide field-level coordination and qualitative research support for a mixed-methods impact assessment of FunDoo in Uganda.
This role involves coordinating field activities, supporting participant recruitment, conducting qualitative research, and contributing to both the qualitative and quantitative components of the study.
The position is home-based and offers the opportunity to contribute to an important child-focused research initiative.

• Conduct qualitative data collection in selected communities and transcribe collected data accurately.

• Support preliminary qualitative analysis and contribute to the interpretation of findings.

• Coordinate the recruitment of eligible adolescents and young people for the quantitative component of the study.

• Support participant tracking and ensure completion of baseline and follow-up surveys.

• Ability to work closely with communities, research participants, and project teams.

• Strong organizational, communication, and qualitative research skills.

• Previous experience in research, field coordination, child protection, or adolescent-focused programs is preferred.

 Remote Food Systems Knowledge Management and Evidence Dissemination Consultant

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to provide technical and analytical support for the publication, dissemination, and use of regional evidence on childhood overweight prevention, food systems, and healthy food environments.
The role will support the development of communication and positioning strategies for evidence generated in 2025 and scheduled for publication and dissemination in 2026.
This remote position also includes targeted technical work related to urban food environments for children.

• Develop and propose a regional dissemination and positioning plan for UNICEF evidence and knowledge products.

• Conduct the final technical revision and editorial preparation of regional publications.

• Provide analytical and technical support related to food systems, healthy food environments, and childhood overweight prevention.

• Support the dissemination and strategic use of regional evidence among stakeholders and partners.

• Strong knowledge of nutrition, food systems, public health, or related fields.

• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple knowledge products and deadlines.

 Remote Statistical Readiness and Regional MICS Consultant

• Develop and implement a comprehensive tool to assess country-specific statistical readiness and feasibility.

• Review sampling frames, census recency, National Statistical Office capacity, and existing data gaps across participating countries.

• Develop detailed design options for a regional or sub-regional MICS model.

• Prepare recommendations on sampling implications, operational requirements, cost estimates, and implementation timelines.

• Support CARICOM decision-making through presentations and high-quality technical materials.

• Strong experience in statistics, monitoring and evaluation, survey design, or data systems.

• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to governments and institutional stakeholders.
