Role overview
Part-time remote freelance data-engineering work on Mindrift’s Tendem project, owning complex web-scraping workflows from collection through validation, normalization and scaled execution.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end scraping workflows for complex websites using suitable libraries, browser automation or custom tooling.
- Handle dynamic JavaScript/AJAX pages, infinite scroll and other non-static content patterns.
- Validate collected data, cross-check consistency and normalize outputs into reliable structured formats.
- Scale collection through batching or parallelization while monitoring failures and data quality.
- Work with anti-bot constraints, APIs, proxies and cloud/container tooling where needed.
Requirements and qualifications
- Five or more years of relevant experience in data engineering, scraping, automation or software engineering is sought.
- Strong Python experience with tools such as BeautifulSoup and Selenium, plus experience with dynamic content, APIs and proxies.
- Ability to clean and normalize complex data into structured outputs such as CSV, JSON or spreadsheets.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud environments and Docker is relevant; familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain/OpenRouter and GitHub is an advantage.
- English proficiency of at least B2.
Working time and compensation
- Published working time: 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.
- Published compensation: Up to about USD 37/hour equivalent.
